Tatranská Kotlina

It is a recreational area at the "Way of Freedom" between Tatranské Matliare and Tatranská Kotlina, bellow the northern slopes of Kobylí vrch (Nag Peak) in the Belianske Tatras.
The first impulse for founding a settlement in this area was a revelation of the Belianska Cave. Already a long time before there had been a settlement of gamekeepers and stonecutters with a mill called Kotlina (nowadays Stará Kotlina/Old Basin) at the road to Lendak village.
After the World War 1 and the process of modernisation Tatranská Kotlina became specialised on healing tuberculosis illnesses.

NOTE: Administrative part of the town Vysoké Tatry (High Tatras)
